He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Puertzer and Hulda V. Puertzer (Racine); his spouse Shirley J. Hoffhaus; and his brother Clyde Puertzer. He is survived by: his children, Jean Miller (Chris Southard) of Tell City and Jerry Puertzer (Jennifer) of Evanston; his siblings, Wilma Jane Schultz-Gibson of Evansville and Jim Puertzer of Evansville; his grandsons, Josh Puertzer (Keeley), Adam Puertzer (Cassandra) and Tony Miller (Grace Kreilein); and his great grandchildren, Marlee and Lettie Puertzer.
