He was predeceased by: his father James Watkins; his brother Jay E. Watkins; his brother-in-law Charles Hinton; and his nieces, Hannah and Heidi Howard.
He is survived by: his close friend Amy Grove of Etna Green, IN; his daughter Regan Watkins of Plymouth; and his sister Janet Hinton of Etna Green.
