He was predeceased by: his father Harry Preflatish; his brother Mark Preflatish; and his grandmother Betty Preflatish. He is survived by: his mother Winnie Walker (Mansell); his wife Carol Preflatish (Cox); his daughter Katheryn Bowsher (Joshua); his grandsons, Clark and Nolan Bowsher; and his sisters, Sharon Bary (Mike), Teresa Royer (Donnell), Mary Bary, Susan Cook and Sarah Preflatish. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
