He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wilkes and Minnie Wilkes (Knieriem); and his brothers, Basil, Lovell and Denzil Wilkes.
He is survived by: his close friend Lou Brewer of Depauw, Indiana; his sons, Terry L. Wilkes (Karla) of Eckerty and Timothy L. Wilkes (Susan) of Carefree, Indiana; and his sisters, Verna Smith of Sulphur and Patsy Eckert of Birdseye, Indiana. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
