It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Basey of Elwood, Indiana, born in Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on December 25, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Nondas Basey (Beeman); his son Thomas Basey, Jr.; his siblings, Roselyn Basey and Howard Sowers; his great grandchild Kyler McTaggart; and his niece Robin Basey.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Basey (Boyland) of Elwood; his daughters, Jody Lippott (Mark) of Noblesville and Julie Clendenin (Randy) of Markleville; and his grandchildren, Cody Lippott (Brandie), Jordan Haulk (Courtney), Brandon Haulk (Jordan), Cameron Haulk (Haleigh), Kyle Lippott (Daphne), Josh Basey, Sara Basey, Chelsea Pierce (Ian), Landon Watson and Amanda Hartzell. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
