He was predeceased by: his father Garland Wilson; his wife Sharon Wilson (Poynter); and his sister Margaret Myers. He is survived by: his brother David Wilson (Vickie) of Elwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Elwood VFW or Elwood American Legion.
