He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wilson and Rusha Arlene Hoppel (Raley); and his brother-in-law Don Wood. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl of Elwood; his daughters, Stacey Bock (Chad) of Elwood and Carrie Bucher (Jason) of Fishers; his sister Betty Wood of Elwood; his grandchildren, Aaron Cruz, Eli Bock, Olivia Bucher, Ian Bucher and Clark Bucher; his niece Lori Reynolds (Mark); and also, Roger Miller, Barb Freel, Linda Roberts, Donald "Keith" Wood and Matt Wood (Pam).
Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Federal Credit Union where the Max Hoppel Scholarship Fund will be established for Elwood students.
