He is survived by: his children, Carmelita Cates (Larry), Christopher Franklin (Susie) and Joshua Franklin (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Nicholas Franklin (Kylie), Ayla Stinson (Michael), Larry Cates Jr., Hannah Franklin, Christopher Franklin Jr., Jada Franklin, Justin Franklin, Meridian Franklin, Aubrey Franklin and Riley Franklin; his great grandchildren, Leah, Lily, Bella, Mariah, Addy, Zara, Amira and Malia; and his sisters, Helen Doss (Tim) and Sandi Imel (John). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
