He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel N. Bixby and June Joan Bixby (Ramsby); his parents-in-law, Tom and Frances Creamer; and his siblings, Michael Bixby, Ronald Bixby and Pamela Bixby.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Bixby (Creamer); his children, Deborah "Deb" Velez, Rebecca Bixby, Elizabeth Bixby-Bott and Daniel Bixby, Jr.; and his siblings, Sam Bixby (Anna), George Bixby (Pam), Terry Bixby (Kecia), Donald Bixby (Dawn), Mark Bixby (Peggy), Brenda Bixby, Debbie Bixby (Tim) and Tammy Shepard (Mark).
