He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Cummings and Wista Cummings (Allen); his granddaughter Alexa Rae Fox; his siblings, Richard Cummings, James Cummings, Everett Cummings, Arthur Cummings, Russell Cummings, Wilheminia Cummings, Bonita Russell, Cheri Felton and Tyvonnia Hooover; and his stepson Jerry Leever.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Ellsworth of Elwood; his children, Resa Fox (Eric) of Northville, MI and Allen D. Cummings, Jr. (Novalee) of Jonesboro; his stepsons, Rick Leever (Lisa) of Anderson and Keith Leever (Sandra) of Elwood; his sisters, Alice Harville of Alexandria and Dorothy Green of Georgia; and his grandson Tyler Fox of Northville, MI.
