She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Chambers and Phyllis G. Chambers (Bennington); her husband Joe Matthews; and her siblings, Darrell Chambers, Charolette Long (Ivan) and Ruthie Robinson (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Allen Harrell (Lisa), Douglas Matthews (Michelle), Sheila Hicks (Larry) and Marquita; her grandchildren, Whitney Sokola (David) and Dustin Matthews (Adyson); her great grandchild Vincent Sokola; and her siblings, Byron Chambers (Chris) and Tammie Miley.
