He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cornell and Caroline Golly (Krajewski); and his wife Donna Cornell. He is survived by: his children, Jason W. Cornell (Debbi), Catherine Cornell, Jerri Riggle (Scott), Ronda Generaux (Dwayne) and Robert Allen (Jill); and his sister Nancy Kusmaul. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
