It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Superintendent James William Andrews Jr. of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Andrews, and Esther Mae Andrews, Sr. (Reed); and his sister Madie Ann Andrews. He is survived by: his significant other Kathy K. Massey; his children, Angie Torain (Kyle) of Orland Park, Illinois, LaTosha Bonds (William) of Elkhart, Jennifer Andrews (Darnell Hunt) of Elkhart, Kassandra Fuqua (Marquise) of Indianapolis and Todd E. Massey of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Kaylyn Torain of Huntington, Marche Massey of Indianapolis, Amari Torain of Orland Park, Mikayla Andrews of Elkhart, Addison Torain of Orland Park, Camden Bonds of Elkhart, Elijah of Indianapolis and Bryson Fuqua of Indianapolis; his great grandchildren, Dreshon, Donica, Chelynn and Religh Massey; his aunt Ruthie Mae Reed of Detroit, MI; and his siblings, Mary M. Collins-Mack and Deacon Lee Harris. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in love, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Life Church (400 W Mishawaka Rd, Elkhart, IN 46517).
