Rita Fay Evans Obituary

Rita Fay Evans (66) of Elkhart, Indiana passed away in her home on Sunday, December 15th, 2024.

She was born on November 7th, 1958 to Glenn and Nadine Miller. She has both an older and younger brother, John (Michaelle) Miller and Bill (Sue) Miller. She graduated from Jimtown High School in 1977. She married her husband, Jeff, on June 7th, 1986. She always felt more relaxed at home and devoted her time by becoming a stay-at-home mom, taking her children to their various activities and making sure they almost always had a home cooked meal to look forward to. She took the same care with all of her grandchildren when they came in their turn.

A true lover of art, she dabbled with painting as a hobby. Her various paintings hang in the homes of her loved ones. She was a part of the Order of the Eastern Star #183 in Elkhart, Indiana. Her absolute favorite thing to drink was Diet Coke. She always welcomed everyone with a warm hello and brilliant smile.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Evans; children Jeremy (Laura) Ettline, Chrystal (Brian) Feely, and Trent (Naomi) Evans; grandchildren Kayla, Cadence, Brayden, Samantha, and Abigail; and her countless nieces and nephews. She is now rejoined with both of her parents in heaven.

Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home. A viewing will be on January 7th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, located at 4206 E. Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN 46514, with a funeral to follow at 6:00 PM and reception to follow.

Graveside services will be held on January 8th at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens located at 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561.
