Richard E. Campbell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Campbell of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard E. Campbell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Campbell and Mary Campbell; his brothers, Dean and Rex Campbell; and his pet Clovis.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Campbell (Tamela) of Portage, Michigan and Kris Campbell of Portage, Michigan; his grandchildren, Richard Campbell (Elise) and Branda Backoff (James); his great grandchildren, Rowan Campbell and Brynn Backoff; his close friend Lori Long of Elkhart; his brothers, Larry Campbell (Mona) of Bloomington and Wayne Campbell (Connie) of Indianapolis; and his sister-in-law Mary Lu Campbell. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elkhart High School Scholarship Fund, which Dick supported for many years, or to ADEC of Elkhart, which helped him adjust as his sight was failing.
