The memory of Mary Jo Rice of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Howard Wright and Hazel Victoria Wright Baker (Higginbotham); her husband Warren Lee Rice; her brothers, Charles Wright and Howard Wright; and her great grandchild Natalia Rice.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Templeton (Mark), Ronald Rice (Sherri), Richard Rice (Shannon Peek) and Larry Rice (Paulette); her sister Sara Jane Phillips of Shinnston; and her friends, Meg Fleming of Noblesville, IN, Carrie Parker of Wooster, OH and Elkhart. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home (700 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
