It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilynn Kay Anson of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Morris and Mary Kathryn Olsen (Parker); her husband Dennis L. Anson; and her sister Kathryn E. Horein. She is survived by: her children, Dean T. Anson of Elkhart, Tina M. Pletcher of Elkhart and Rebecca A. Allen (David) of Elkhart; her siblings, Denny J. Olsen (Joy) of Osceola and Carol A. Hemund of Elkhart; and her grandchildren, Lee Anson of Elkhart, Amanda Garrison of Elkhart, Brenna Belden (Tucker) of Branson, Layna Pletcher of Elkhart, Vanessa Bell (Paul) of Three Rivers, Alysha McDaniel (Brandon Swain) of Elkhart, Hannah Rines (Adam) of Elkhart, Jessica Allen of Mishawaka, Michael Allen of Oregon, Timothy Allen (Dreanna) of Mishawaka, Madison Allen of Elkhart, David Allen Jr. (Helen) of Osceola, Diana Grier (Preston) of Mishawaka, Bradley Allen (Rebecca) of South Bend and Steven Allen of Florida.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillcrest United Methodist Church (4206 E Bristol St, Elkhart, IN 46514). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may go to the Hillcrest United Methodist Church or to any local Ribbon of Hope Chapter.
