It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Luisa Maldonado Ferrer of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Maria Luisa Maldonado departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Maria Luisa Maldonado. Though Maria Luisa Maldonado may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florencio Maldonado and Juana Ferrer. She is survived by: her children, Antonia Calderon, Angelica Garcia, Ramona Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Jacquelyn Ramirez, Christian Ramirez, Katie Ramirez, Agustin Ramirez Jr. and Jayden Ramirez; and her great great grandchild Sofia. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (417 S Main St, Goshen, IN 46526). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
