Lonnie M. Scott Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie M. Scott (Elkhart, Indiana), who passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey and Rosie; her husband Rev. Edward Scott; her parents-in-law, John and Lizzie Murphy; and her children, David Scott and Irma Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Lougine Scott of Brandenton, FL, John Scott (Tonya) of Oak Forest, IL, Eleanor Carver of Elkhart, IN, Elaine Harris (Richard) of Elkhart, IN, Joseph Scott of Elkhart, IN and Robert Scott (Candice) of Oakland, CA.; her sisters, Mary Douglas of Rantoul, IL, Wanda Washington of Gosnell, AR and Leona Tate (Leroy) of Blytheville, AR; her sister-in-law Ora Lee Bobo of Osceola, AR.; and her siblings, Virgil Bobo, Leon Poe Sr., Garland Bobo, Rosetta Agee and Cordie Murphy. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (802 W Garfield Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561).
