He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hayes and Reba Hayes; his granddaughter Alexis Cassidee Hayes; and his siblings, Lloyd C. Hayes, Vida Price and Betty Jean Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Lois Hayes (Kramer); his children, Deanna Stump, Dawn Smith of Elkhart, Bonita Lehman (Brad) of Houston, TX, Brandy Wolf (Paul) of Duncan, SC, Reba Quintos Reyes (Saul) of Houston, TX and Kerensa Haney (Leo) of Tallahassee, FL; and his sisters, Mildred Ward and Linda Hayes of Elkhart, IN. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home (10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
