She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Sledge and Lizzie Thomas; her husband Clarence Newsome; and her siblings, Roosevelt Sledge, Jr., Otha Sledge and Maxine Elam.
She is survived by: her niece Barbara Harwell. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Agape Missionary Baptist Church (248 W Wolf Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
