With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janice E. Bender of Elkhart, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Cook and Zelma Cook; her husband Clifford L. Bender; and her siblings, Dale, Gary, Geneva, Lillian, Lucille, Mary and Rita.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jerry Cook (Carolyn) and Nila Young; her sisters-in-law, Irene and Marcia Cook; her children, Rodman Bender (Marilyn) of Jimtown, Kimberly Stoops (Roger) of Edwardsburg, MI and Stacie Remaly (Adam) of Dayton; and her grandchildren, Bodie Bender (Franki), Brock Bender (Shay), Blane Bender, Shane Stoops (Ashley), Shana Kretchman (Scott), Sheila Iannarelli, Shannon Stoops, Alec Remaly (Lesley) and Ryan Remaly. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jamestown United Methodist Church (59218 Co Rd 3, Elkhart, IN 46517).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to JUMC in Jan's honor.
