Gilbert Ray Yoder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Ray Yoder (Elkhart, Indiana), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gilbert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Yoder and Malinda Yoder (Hochestler); and his son Anthony "Tony" Yoder. He is survived by: his wife Ida Yoder; and his children, Tammy Chupp (Al), Greg Yoder and Kevin Yoder (Judy Reynolds). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 11 siblings.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Northside Baptist Church (53198 Co Rd 9, Elkhart, IN 46514).
