Dorothy Lee Bake Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Lee Bake of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Emery and Grace Emery (George Albert); and her siblings, Lois Sittig and Wayne Emery. She is survived by: her sons, George Bake, Jr. (Karen) of Osceola, IN and Jim Bake (Dixie Ray) of Edwardsburg, MI; her grandchildren, Dennis Bake, Jenny Spicher (Dustin), Jonathan Bake (Stephanie) and George Bake (Sarah); and her brothers, Richard Emery (Mary) and Larry Emery (Jean). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home (1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Olive Cemetery (61081 Co Rd 3, Elkhart, IN 46517).
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, she enjoyed making Afghans and blankets to donate them to Ribbon of Hope.
