He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Oscar and Hildegard Woelfle Ruppert; his stepparents, John Henry Jones Sr. and Ruby Jones; and his brother Kurt Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Althea Drake of Elizabethtown; and his stepbrother John Henry Jones (Gail) of Scipio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
