He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. Shaw and Alesa L. Bernard Shaw; and his siblings, Betty H. Thoni and James H. Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Shirleen Bassett; his sons, Herschel M. Shaw of Columbus and Royce A. Shaw of Freetown; and his siblings, Linda D. Morrison of Toledo, Brenda S. Power of Wako, Texas, Larry C. Shaw (Sandra) of Danville, Gary P. Shaw (Rita) of Florence and Bruce C. Shaw (Angela) of Ardmore, Alabama. He is also survived by several cousin, nieces and nephews.
