He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Swengel and Elizabeth Swengel Christopher; his son Charles T. Swengel Jr.; and his brother David E. Swengel. He is survived by: his wife Juanita F. Mitchell; his children, Daniel Swengel of Elizabethtown and Cindy McMath (David) of Fishers; his grandchildren, Robert Swengel, Kathryn McMath and Benjamin McMath; his stepgranddaughter Miranda Beeman; and his stepgreat-grandson Ezra Beeman.
