He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar McRae and Hattie McRae (Leffler); his wife Naomi Mellon McRae; his siblings, Howard, Norman, Vaughn, Maynard McRae and Audry Gambrall; and his half-sister Helen Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn McAllister (Bob) of Wake Forrest, Allen McRae (Mary) of Sellersburg, Alice Krimple (Ray) of Cincinnati and Judy Lewis (Rodney) of Charlestown; his brother John Henry McRae of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Eric Ward, Chris Lewis, Debbie Greene, Andrew McRae, Robert Krimple, Jennifer Potts and Nathan McRae.
