He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Winegar Erwin. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Strate Erwin; his children, Sam Erwin (Nikki) of Evansville, Heather Green (Chad) of St. Francisville and J. C. VanMeter of Oaktown; his grandchildren, Zack Green (Alyssa), Lane Vories (Chelsea), Dalton Vories (Amerae), Zane Green (Nina), Kylee VanMeter and Jalen VanMeter; his great grandchildren, Arya Vories and Hadley Vories; and his sister Cindi Parkhill.
