It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonda Marie Dyson of Edinburgh, Indiana, born in Sandborn, Indiana, who passed away on January 19, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Albert and Evelyn Gladys Newkirk Arney; her brothers, Verlin Arney and Wayne Arney; and her sister-in-law Marie Arney Franke.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" L. Dyson of Edinburgh; her daughters, Shawn R. Dyson Sylvia (Harlan) of North Vernon and Tera L. Dyson of Edinburgh; her grandchildren, Cierra Sylvia Carman (Keeton) of Columbus and Zachariah Sylvia (Ashley Sims Sylvia); her great grandchildren, Bristol Sylvia, Isaiah Carman, Blakeley Sylvia, Adalynn Carman and Aiden Carman; her sister Judy Dishman of Georgia; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa Arney, Greg Arney, Melanie Dishman Saglimbene and Tim Franke.
In memory of Mrs. Dyson memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Wounded Warriors Project, Tunnel to Towers, or Operation Smile.
