She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee O. Steele and Christine M. Whitney Steele; and her husband John N. Simpson III. She is survived by: her daughters, Vanessa Sagester of Columbus and Whitney McGaha (Bryan) of Edinburgh; her grandchildren, Zachary Sagester (Kayla), Madeline Perez (Kenny), Maxwell Sagester, Clayton McGaha (Quinn), Emma McGaha and Betsy McGaha; and her siblings, Shelia Ruthmansdorfer of Columbus, Rodney Steele (Lois) of Columbus, Mark Steele (Linda) of Columbus and Dennis Steele (Debbie) of Columbus.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201).
