He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly J. Carpenter; and his brother James P. Carpenter. He is survived by: his sons, David (Karla Carpenter) of Pleasant Garden, NC and Scott (Becky Carpenter) of Naples, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Andrew Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Bexlee, Ella, Samuel and Lizzy; his sister Lucille Crawford of Prescot, AZ; and his sister-in-law Marlene Carpenter of Port Clinton, OH..
