He was predeceased by: his mother Bertha Thornburgh (Monroe); his son Theldon "Bud" Thornburgh; and his siblings, Theron, Clyde, Lloyd, Glenn, Fayma and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice L. Jones; his children, Lyn Sorensen, William Thornburgh (Patsy), Rita Miller (Bob), Candy Brown and Tim Thornburgh; and his daughter-in-law Mary Thornburgh. He is also survived by great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
