He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Brooks and Marjorie June Brooks (Smith); and his stepfather Glenn Brown. He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Brooks of Eaton; his children, Dawn Laux (Chad) of West Lafayette and Shawn Brooks (Halle) of Crown Point; his grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Luke Laux, Evan, Rachel and Norah Brooks; his sister Beth Aker of Florida; and his aunt Donna Jo Stewart of Muncie.
