Mary Smithers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Smithers (Eaton, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pitman and Iva Pitman (Thompson); and her husband Chuck Smithers. She is survived by: her children, Robin Wehlage, Dana Rigney (Mike), Angie Davis and Rodney Wehlage (Rene); and her sister-in-law Lynn Webb. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home (200 S Hartford St, Eaton, IN 47338). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
