She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Ratican and Ola Mae Ratican (Saltsman); her husband Charles Smith; and her siblings, Harold Ratican and Jean Kraus.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Smith Jr. (Glory), Daniel Smith (Phyllis) and Debra Utt (Fred). She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Iva enjoyed caring for her family, taking walks with her friends, baking, sewing, and knitting booties and bonnets for newborn children which she donated to Ball Hospital.
