With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy A. Smoot of Eaton, Indiana, who passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Gilland and Lottie Gilland (Richards); her husband Robert L. Smoot (Bob); her son Gary Smoot; and her sisters, Mary Rose, Elizabeth Pursifull and Betty Gilland.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffery Smoot (LuAnn) of Eaton and Rodney Smoot (Jan) of Eaton; her grandchildren, Evan Smoot (Kristy), Neal Smoot (Chelsea), Elizabeth May (Micheal), Seth Smoot (Emily), Sam Smoot, Sarah Smoot and Aaron Smoot (Chelsea); her sister Patricia Evans of Dunkirk; and her caregivers, Brittany Reynolds, Elizabeth May, Jodi Justice-Konkle and Jerilyn Justice. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
