He was predeceased by: his parents, David Canter, Sr. and Evelyn Canter (Cunnington); and his son Robert Michael Canter. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Canter of Eaton, Indiana; his sons, Steve Canter of Anderson and Jim Canter of Beechgrove, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Michael and Michelle. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
