He was predeceased by: his father Rodolfo "Rudy" Quintanilla; his grandparents, Juan Quintanilla, Maria Quintanilla, Max Sanchez and Juanita Sanchez; and his cousin Sylvia Sanchez.

He is survived by: his children, Juan Rolando Quintanilla and Emma Marie Quintanilla; his mother Antonia Quintanilla; his girlfriend Nora Ortiz; his brothers, Rodolfo Quintanilla (Mary), Rene Quintanilla (Laya) and Raul Quintanilla (Linda); his nieces and nephews, Melissa, Veronica, Stephanie, Jessica, Raul, Jr., Joshua and Leah; and his cousin Patty Serna. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins.
