He is survived by: his wife Elodia Gutierrez; and his children, Marisela Cortez (Eliseo), J. Guadalupe Covarrubias, J. Encarnacion Covarrubias, Oralia Romero (Flavio), Humberto Covarrubias (Mariaelena) and Magdalena Castañeda (Jose). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; four siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
