He was predeceased by: his daughter Nicole S. Brown; his grandson Ryan; and his siblings, Beretta Samuels and Clementine Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Brown (Adams); his children, Melvin II (Cynthia), Karlisa Smith and Francetta Brown (Damon); and his grandchildren, Melvin III (Sherita), Takeima, Justin, Joshua, Taylor Pearson, Damon II and Peyton Brown. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
