He was predeceased by: his grandson Tony; his mother Rosario Rodriguez; and his brother Eloy Rodriguez. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rodriguez; his children, Mariano Luyando (Jacqueline), Maria Maldonado (Heriberto), Gloria Luyando, Mercedes Malaves (Alfredo), Kathy Irizarry, Santos Irizarry and Edmindo Estrella; his grandchildren, Mike (Kenra), Annette, Luis, Yvette, Rosemary, Jessica, Amanda, Jasmine (Mika), Delila, Virginia and Mariano III; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Dejalae, Eleiah, Miyah, Isaiah, Inocencio, Mike, Mercedes, Eric, Aliana, Emani, Marian, Carlos, Amani, Kameron, Yesenia and Antonio; his great great grandchildren, Christain, Ayden, Honesti and Lay; his brother Luis Rodriguez (Millie); and his nieces, Wanda Rodriguez (Ivan), Lisa (Milagros) and Miriam Rodriguez.
