She was predeceased by: her parents, Asuncion Sanchez and Candida Rivera; and her brothers, Edwin Sanchez and Asuncion Sanchez, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Maria Mercedez Taylor (Al) and Jose M. Mena, Jr. (Elizabeth Vega); her grandchildren, Julian Taylor, Alyanna Taylor, Aleya Taylor, Jose Mena III, Josmarie Mena, Alondra Vega and Hector Diaz, Jr.; her siblings, Blanca Rivera, Dirberto Sanchez (Loida), Juan Vargas, David Sanchez (Sonia) and Edwardo Sanchez; and her godchildren, Catalina Chamorro, Alexis Roldan, Amarilys Berrien, Divyne Ryan, William Lopez, Danny Aponte and Angel Feliciano.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the LaHayne Funeral Home (6955 Southeastern Ave, Hammond, IN 46324). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
