He was predeceased by: his former wife Dolores "Lola" Martinez; and his daughter Estela Martinez. He is survived by: his children, Jesse Martinez (Sharon), Joe Martinez (Max Miller) and Loretta Grindey (late Gary); his grandsons, Anthony and Michael Martinez; his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Stella Martinez; his brother Jaime Martinez; and his sister-in-law Adelina Martinez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (3510 Deodar St, East Chicago, IN 46312).
