He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Cavazos and Juanita Cavazos; and his siblings, Maria Perez (Rene), Diana Cavazos, Edward Cavazos and Geronimo Cavazos.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph Cavazos, Jesus "Jesse" Cavazos, Rosario Valdez Sr (Jose) and Elma Garza-Martinez; his godson Jose Luis Cordova; and his friend Edwin Cordova. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
