He is survived by: his sons, Manuel Bernal (Nicole Maldonado) and Emilio Bernal (Keila); his fiancée Maria Ruano; his stepchildren, Gracie Andres (Xavier), Rebecca Guzman (Ismael), Robert Garcia, George Zamora (Rebecca) and Stacy Garcia; his grandchildren, Yari'Melis Bernal, Emilio Bernal, Jr., Nayeli Bernal, Ezequiel Bernal, Annalis Bernal, Adrianna Bernal, Christian Garcia, Caleb Garcia, Andrew Andres, Delilah Andres, Abel Andres, Zuri Guzman, Ethan Guzman, Khloe Guzman, Valerie Guzman, Ismael Guzman, Jr., Jason Guzman, Angel Zamora, Daniella Zamora, Sebastian Zamora, Anthony Zamora and Leonardo Zamora; and his brother Pete Bernal.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312).
