He was predeceased by: his father Arcadio Soto; his sister Josephine Garnello; his niece Miranda Garnello; and his nephews, Jose Garnello and Richard Camacho.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his sons, Luis Gonzalez, Fernando Soto, D'Angelo Soto and Sergio Soto; his mother Maria Olga Soto; and his siblings, Hernan Soto (late Jean), Jesse Garnello (Gail), Veronica Sanchez (Victor), Rosemary Garnello, Annie Soto and Yara Nunez (Jose). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
