It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benita Martinez Rivas (East Chicago, Indiana), born in Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on May 5, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Armando; her daughters, Rose McGuire (Michael) of San Antonio, Margarita Gonzalez of San Antonio, Norma Herrera (Ventura) of Seattle and Patricia Zuniga (David) of Helotes; and her sister Elvira Martinez (Reyes) of Laredo. She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
