She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dr. Anthony Mattera; her children, Elizabeth Porter (Adam Moroschan) and James Porter (Ania Kolakowska); her granddaughter Faith Victoria; her son Michael Porter (Jamie Porter); her grandsons, Michael and Myles; her sisters, Susan Walker and Char Zralka; and her parents, Peter Walker and Justine Walker.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Church (500 Northgate Dr, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
