He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewy Shultz and Hatsu Shultz; his son Roy Shultz; and his siblings, John, Anna and Emiko.

He is survived by: his significant other Anna Groszek; and his children, Allen Shultz (Kathy), Heidi Daniels and Maki Halum (Kurt). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
